A program for arts organizations with budgets over $2,000,000

  • General operating support grants
  • Project grants to strengthen organizational capacity
  • The Prince Prize for Commissioning Original Work
  • Capital grants

Only groups with annual budgets over $2,000,000 will be eligible for direct funding from Prince Charitable Trusts. Organizations with budgets between $500,000 and $2,000,000 may apply to the MacArthur Fund for Arts and Culture at Prince.

  • General operating support grants


The Trusts are working to make Chicago a greener, healthier, more livable city through grants in three areas:

  • Open Space and Natural Resources
  • Youth and Environment
  • Innovations in Urban Sustainability

The Trusts provide:

  • Support for projects that improve morale among health care providers in hospitals and community-based medical settings

    Priority will be given to projects resulting in better health outcomes for low-income children and youth.

The Trusts support agencies and projects working to:

  • Provide sports-based youth development programs
  • End youth homelessness


The Trusts make a limited number of grants to organizations that:

  • Support the field of philanthropy or the Trusts’ areas of interest
