For the June 1, 2017 application deadline for Chicago Environmental grants, Prince Charitable Trusts will only accept proposals from organizations that received funding in 2016.
Selected grantsThe Trusts support organizations that protect and enhance open spaces in the city of Chicago. These include the lakefront and rivers, which provide the distinctive natural character of the city.
In addition, grants are made to support projects that focus on the neighborhood parks and community greening projects that enhance the quality of life for many people who live far from the famous downtown parks.
A few grants are made to zoos, nature museums, and research and advocacy agencies that support environmental preservation.
